Direct Villa Holidays are legally registered with the
Valencian Tourist Board - Reg. No. EGVT 594-A

All of our villas are legally registered for rental

Booking an unregistered villa could have consequences

For several years it has been a legal requirement in Spain for property owners to register their property with the authorities prior to renting it out to holidaymakers. Recently the Spanish authorities have begun to clamp down on un-registered holiday rentals, enforcing this legislation more strictly.

If you choose to let a villa from an owner rather than a company then most likely it will not be legally registered (and probably won't even have third party liability insurance), but, surprisingly even some of the largest international holiday companies do not comply with this legislation, putting you at unnecessary risk.

Before you book a Costa Blanca Villa Holiday - look for the AEAT tourism registration number for the villa of interest, it is now a legal requirement to include a property's registration number in any advertising so it will be included with the property's details online. We strongly advise against booking any villa where it appears to be unregistered, even if you are booking with a large company. It carries the
risk that the property might not be available for rental by the time of your holiday, the owner or rental agency could even receive up to a €90,000 fine before you arrive. Also, you will not have the peace of mind of knowing that the local tourist office is there to assist you in the event of an issue with the property.
