There are so many restaurants to choose from it is impossible to for us to provide information on more than a handfull of them, overall the standard of food here is very good and a good rule of thumb is to pick restaurants that are busy because there is a reason they are busy. Here is a list of some of our favourites (in no particular order):

Le Soleil, Moraira
Situated in the centre of town close to the sea front, Le Soleil opened early in 2008 to critical acclaim. The menu is a varied fusion of international cuisine in a chique modern environment, during the quieter months a 3 course lunch with wine is available for only €12 per head. In the summer months it turns into a cocktail bar in the late evening and becomes part of the adjoining upmarket dance club Mystique. This year Le Soleil will be the first British run restaurant to feature in Moraira's Gastronomy festival which is a showcase for cuisine in the area.

Terra Vina, Moraira
Situated in a quiet cobbled street just behind the fort in the centre of Moraira, Terra Vina comes highly recommended. It is a wine bar / tapas restaurant with a chic and welcoming ambience. A superb selection of wines and a wide array of beautifully presented tapas with a twist. Personal favourites include their potato tortilla with ali oli, mediteranean vegetables with goats cheese and stuffed figs with serrano ham. The home made desserts are also a true delicacy. |

Restaurante Refugio, Moraira
Head down the long cobbled street in Moraira centre (Dr. Catalayud) and towards the end of the street close to the sea a small alley to the left leads up to Restaurante Refugio. This restaurant is very popular with the Spanish local community and is busy at breakfast, lunch & dinner. The menu is extremely varied with a blend of typical spanish and international cuisine, all food is always of a high quality at reasonable prices.

El Pescador, Moraira
You will find El Pescador on the cobbled street leading from Moraira's marina into town. Although it has seating inside it is best to go in fine weather and sit outside for the passing ambience. This restaurant is run by a local Spanish family and is one of Moraira two or three fish specialists. Our recommendation is the three course lunch with is only €12 per head for 3 courses and features one of the best traditional fish soups we have ever tasted. Even if you don't like fish the menu has a large enough selection of other dishes to satisfy your palate.

Cala Ia Ia, Moraira
Cala Ia Ia translates literally to my grandmothers house. A little more expensive than average this is a very special place to eat set in a beautiful stone house just outside Moraira on the way to Teulada. We reccommend the Secreto de cerdo (a free range special cut of iberian pork, which will change your opinion on the flavour of pork forever and is tastier than any steak we have eaten) or the tuna belly and then finish with the chocolate mousse or Tiramisu.

La Senieta, Moraira
One of Moraira's finest restaurants, this restaurant offers the best of fine Spanish cuisine in a relaxed but formal setting. the service is outstanding and the menu is reasonably priced given the quality of food although you can expect to pay around €35 per head including drinks. Situated just outside Moraira centre opposite the main carpark close to the roundabout.

Casa Juan, Moraira
Situated on the coast road leading from Moraira to Calpe, this is a restaurant you will never forget as the owner Juan, is not only one of the best meat chef's in the area but also a very talented singer. In betweeen cooking he sings every evening along to his Spanish classical guitar, hence the local name 'The singing chef restaurant'. Don't be put off by the unassuming exterior the inside of the restaurant has a very relaxing romantic atmosphere and the meat is always excellent, we recommend you try any of the steaks or the mixed kebab skewers.

Gemisant Restaurant
Situated on the coast road just outide of Moraira, Gemisant is a great family restaurant with one of the most varied menus we have seen including pizzas, pastas, meat, fish and speciality dishes. The fixed menus offer a wide choice for only €15 per head, day or night, including 3 courses, wine and bread. There is also an extensive a la carte menu and in the Summer months this restaurant has a great buzz with all 200 seats taken up with diners.

La Micheta, Moraira
This restaurant deserves a special not purely because of it's location & prices. Run by a local balkan family it overlooks Moraira's Ifach golf course and the sea and is set in an old finca with traditional atmosphere. The food largely comprises of good hearty food, and the menu of the day during the daytime is only €8 per head including wine. During the Summer months they offer an all you can eat barbecue twice per week (reservation needs, only €11 per head). We recommend the fried aubergine starter with Tatziki.

Casa del Maco, Calpe
This too is an extremely good restaurant for a special occasion. From the terrace guests can enjoy the most magnificent view towards Calpe with first class cuisine. Set in the hills above Calpe Pou Roig-Lleus in a beautifully restored Spanish finca, a trip to this wonderful restaurant is well worth the trouble. To find it, follow road N332 towards Benissa after a small garden
centre on the left and just before bridge with a left gradient turn. Turn left up a small single track road and continue for 2k until you see signs.

Puerto Blanco, Calpe
This is probably one of the best restaurants in Calpe or indeed on the Costa Blanca. It is picturesquely situated next to the small harbour of La Canuta. The service food and ambience is first class and we recommend it for all visitors. To find it, Follow the sign for Mar y villa (Maryvilla), turn right on small roundabout (opposite Guardia) follow road downhill for 1k. The restaurant is located on the sharp right bend with harbour in front. Expect to pay around €30 per head.

La Regata, Calpe
To be found on the Levante/ La Fosa beach back towards the sea 100mts to the right of hotel Esmeralda. Next door to Fox's bar,. This restaurant has a 5 course menu at weekday lunchtimes for 12 Euros, which is nothing short of fantastic. Highly recommended. Open lunchtimes and evenings with views of Peñon. -

Situated on the main Arenal in Javea overlooking the sea this restaurant is famed for its fish dishes. The service is exceptional and the food truly outstanding. It’s a great evening out and has a large and varied menu as well as good menu options for children. Expect to pay around €35 per head.

Monsoon Cafe
Monsoon Cafe’s secret is to blend authentic Thai cuisine with a warm and tranquil atmosphere. Denia Marriott La Sella Golf Resort, Denia
This wonderful hotel, complete with world class spa and a superb golf course also benefits from a selection of great restaurants. The Sunday buffet is the highlight and well worth a visit for a large family group whilst on holiday. Live music, a beautiful setting, as much champagne as you can drink and a fabulous selection of food. Price €17.50 per head for children, €32.50 per head for adults.

Le Dauphin, Moraira
This restaurant is situated in the bay of El Portet directly on the beach. The Provencal Mediterranean style gives a very elegant but relaxed atmosphere, from which you can enjoy spectacular views overlooking the bay of Moraira, Calpe and in the background the enormous Peñon de Ifach. The food is French Mediterranean with fresh fish out of the bay served each day. This is the perfect spot to enjoy an unforgettable candlelit evening with a breath taking view and the lovely breeze of the Mediterranean. Not cheap, but certainly worth a visit for a special occasion. Expect to pay €50 to €100 per head.
