Entry from the street leads into a the main driveway with ample parking for 2 cars and further secure parking behind the stunning large wooden gated archway. The main house is accessed through a large open naya with occasional seating and a large pool table.  There is a large outdoor American style fridge freezer here and this area offers plenty of shade and space for play. On entering the main house into the hallway you are greeted by original terracotta flooring and open beams with a small lounge / seating area with sofas and fireplace. Original Tuscan stone frames all of the windows and doorways.  The formal dining area and twin aspect lounge can be found to your left.  They have been tastefully furnished in keeping with the rustic charm this villa offers. The lounge has a flat screen LCD television with access to UK Freesat channels and also wifi internet.   There is also a small bedroom on this ground floor with twin beds, ceiling fan, built in wardrobe and wooden shutters. This bedroom enjoys exclusive use of the ground floor bathroom with bath and overhead shower. A small set of steps leads into the kitchen and is well equipped with large range style double oven and hob, microwave and dishwasher. The most spectacular feature of the kitchen is the ability to look out through the large arched glass doors into a traditional Andalusian walled garden, which is bordered all the way round with Bougainvillea and flowering hibiscus plants.  This area offers a large Al fresco dining area protected from the wind and shaded by a large shaded sail. To the rear of the kitchen is the chefs table, an informal inside dining area for when it's too hot to be outside or breakfast. This room is air conditioned. It also has arched glass doors leading out into the outdoor dining courtyard. Stairs from the entrance hall lead up to two further bedrooms, the master (with king-size bed) with walk in wardrobe, and a further bedroom with twin beds and built in wardrobe, both bedrooms have ceiling fans and wooden shutters. They share use of the family bathroom on this floor with shower and bath. The large courtyard has dining table and chairs, with an ornate stone centrepiece and sail providing shade. From the courtyard a set of large double wooden doors lead directly to the terraced pool area, where to the right you will find the guest lodge and to the left the guest apartment. The guest lodge is accessed via five steps leading into a large open portico, with day bed and a small shaded dining area.  Inside offers two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed and the second bedroom with twin beds. Both bedrooms have built in wardrobes, ceiling fans and wooden shutters. These bedrooms share a bathroom with shower, toilet and hand basin. To the side of the lodge is the separate laundry room with washing machine. The guest studio is on the other end of the pool and is accessed via the lawned garden.  It has one bedroom with twin beds, built in wardrobes, ceiling fan and wooden shutters. The guest studio has its own small shower room with wc.  There is also a small kitchen area with kettle, toaster and fridge. Directly opposite is an outdoor summer kitchen where the original open charcoal barbecue can be found as well as a separate gas barbecue. The large pool has ample space for lounging with sunbeds provided, the pool is larger than average at 10m x 5m and benefits from roman steps to the shallow end. Gardens surround the pool area including lawns, a huge variety of plants and shrubs and even an olive tree. Although there is no air conditioning, due to the age and style of construction of the villa the walls are very thick and windows are small, meaning it's a nice safe haven from the heat of summer, the thick walls really help to keep the building cool and all rooms are fitted with ceiling fans. Overall this villa is one of the true gems of the area, it offers an abundance of character, it's charming and authentic yet very comfortable and had been very tastefully refurbished without loosing any of this character.
